Can-canker-ous

I feel a little out of sorts. It could be because I have a canker sore the size of Texas in my mouth. Wait - does it go without saying that it's in my mouth? I mean, isn't that where canker sores usually occur?

And the best part? It's located right along the inside my lower lip where it gets optimum rub-against-the-top-of-my-bottom-teeth action.

Fun!!!

P.S. - No, the canker sore image is not me.

I dig your blog! I have cankers about once a month, and let me tell you--- they are F-U-N, FUN.

Nothing like one that is placed just so it rests ever so sweetly on tooth on a day when you want to eat pizza and drink orange juice.

Ouch!
What do you do for those anyway? Can you gargle something or do you just have to suffer through it?

Justin - Man, it must be Kismet! I came across your blog a few months back and then couldn't quite remember the name...I'm so glad that now I'll be able to check back in.

Oh yeah - OJ on the canker? Nice...

Anonymous - You better watch out. That guy who always corrects my spelling mistakes is gonna gitcha.

Anonymous and Chase - What did you think the image would be when you clicked on the link? A soft, cuddly kitten?

Lexagirl - Yo! Good to hear from you!

I think you're supposed to rub salt and lemon juice on the canker. Wait...no, that falls under the "what NOT to do" category.

So, yes, at this point, I'm just suffering through. Ick.

Man I got one too, except it is on my tongue. I had my hubby run me to Walgreens last night because I saw a commercial for cankersore medicine. It is in the toothpaste aisle. I think you can also gargle with salt water although I am too afraid to try that trick.

OUCH!!! I used to get them once a month (if ya know what I mean) and if I drink too much Pepsi. So I'm sympathizin' with ya. They do have a product out that is made just for canker sores - it numbs the area and stays on the sore to protect it. www.ora5.com Hope it goes away soon.
