You tell me - #14

On the flip side of the coin ...

What's the one purchase you made in 2005 you're glad you did?

You tell me.

A beautiful black a brown brocaide 18th-century styled jacket. It was $350 but I got it for half that. I just HAD to have it for the film.

My big bling.

It was a self-inflicted Christmas gift. I won't say how much it was, but it's more money than I've ever spent on jewelry in my entire life.

I LURVE IT!!!

My High Def tuner. After having the HD-ready TV for a year without being able to watch any of the NFL games on Fox in HD, I broke down.

Luckily, I found it on eBay for CHEEP and brought it home to be my own.

And if you haven't watched "The O.C." in HD, then you haven't truly lived. OK, you have, but shut up.

My Nikon D70. My BABY!
This little piece of mechanical heaven has more than paid for itself!! I have taken more pictures than I can count and they have been well worth it. :)

Two things, actually: my laptop, and my Nikon Coolpix 8800 - sweet camera! (so is the D70, ek!)

My Apple Powerbook (see the post below about the worse purchase of 2005 is the same thing). Although it isn't the new MacBooks (or whatever they'll be called) with the Intel chips, I still love my Mac so very much.

My car is the best purchase I made during 2005... and not specifically because of the car. It's the XM Radio in the car. Gone are the days of local radio, Jack and Ron blathering on and on in the morning, and four minute commercials. I love XM. Don't leave home without it.

Tough choice... the convertible with XM, oh, yes... (can I call it a necessity?) but the D70 has been hours of pure indulgent pleasure!

I'd have to go with my December trip to Las Vegas for the National Finals Rodeo. I (finally) got in touch with my inner degenerate drinker/gambler.
