You tell me - #18

A few nights ago my total at Target came to $88.

Then I gave the cashier a stack of coupons which reduced my total to $76.

Hell yeah! I love to save $12!

So, my question is ...

... do you clip coupons?

You tell me.

Yeah I clip them...and then forget to take them to the store with me.
I also save plastic grocery bags with the intention to re-use them when I shop for groceries...I leave them at home next to the coupons each time. maybe I should just leave them in my car.

I LOVE Target...so this is not their fault...

I had a KICK ASS gift card that was an American Express gc. I was told I could use it. I shopped. And shopped. And shopped. I spent $154.00. My card...was denied. DENIED. I couldn't bear to give back any of my delectible goodies...so I paid for it. All of it. NOT Targets fault...but so very, very disgruntled am I.

I am SOOO a coupon-er! I drive my husband nuts with them! LOL! I have to be careful about not buying stuff just because I have a coupon, but most of the time I can get saving about $8-$10. :)

I have a PILE of coupons laying around this house. And every single one of them will expire before I get a chance to use them.

There is just some area of my brain that is unable to cross reference a shopping list with a coupon list and act accordingly. I wish I could since by now I'd have probably saved approximately $47,288.24.

Hate to put it to you this way, but those savings you realize get passed along to all of us higher prices. Not equating it with shoplifting and welfare, but... we all end up paying more in the end.

I don't know how Kim wrote EXACTLY what I was going to say... I don't know if I am really saving or not, because I do tend to by stuff just because I have a coupon. I love the illusion of savings though.

I tried once, but it required too much organization on my part. And it ususally ended up that nothing they offered the coupons for were thigns I'd buy in the first place *chuckle*

Yup - I'm a coupon girl. Just gives me a kick to know I got it for less...

To a very small degree. Alot and it's too much trouble, so it really depends on my mood. But saving $12 was really nice for you! Good job!
