Pet peeves - #5

If people want to park directly across from my driveway, then I don't think it should be my fault if I hit them.

Is this wrong?

I *totally* agree with the hitting cars at the end of your driveway thing.

My neighbours across the street (who my secret deep-down evil voice tells me are marvelous candidates for forced sterilization) park right across from my driveway *all* the time. And I've resisted the urge... so far.

That kinda thing amazes me. I mean, if you own the car and have paid at least SOME money for it then you'd think you'd be a little more careful where you park the dern thing!

That's the same deal with people who only pull halfway into parking spaces. Are you just expecting us to swerve our way around it?? Explain THAT one!

TII - Don't worry. I think I'll be able to resist the urge ...

TNN - I was speaking of hitting their car with mine. But maybe if I popped them in the jaw, that might get the point across a little faster.

Robin - If you do it, I'll do it. Always good to have a partner in crime!

Nicole - I think people are just complete idiots who think they are the only ones on the face of the earth. The thing that pisses me off most is that if I hit them (even though they are, for the most part, blocking my driveway) it is considered my fault. What gives?!

Well, if there is a funeral or something big going on, I can see that it might be okay to park there because one might think you would notice the car parade and be extraordinarily careful. But, just parkin' there when there are other choices is just plain stupid!

I have had someone sit on the curb across from my drive, which is on a hill. I can't see 'em in my rear view until the very last minute, but I'm rarely looking because - WHO SITS THERE? People need to use a little brain matter when they do something unexpected like parking at the end of a driveway!

Thanks for letting me vent.
