maro Lip Schtick: Enviro-friendlyp

Lately I have been trying to be a little friendlier to the environment.

I don't do much, mind you. But not much is more than I was doing before - which was nothing.

I have begun:
- recycling my plastics
- filling up the gas tank at night
- making sure my tires are properly inflated

Any other ideas?

What are you guys doing to help the environment?

I don't own a car! Of course, the train is just a 20-minute walk from my apartment, but I can still feel good about it, right? Right? Maybe?

Ok, this arrangement would never work in Oklahoma. It barely works in Philly....

We recycle, it was a pain in the ass getting everyone else in the house to do it with me but now they are catching on. Other than that I just try to keep the grandbaby from throwing stuff outta the car.

Good for you! Recycle. Switch from gas-powered mowers to electric. Small engines contribute to 30 percent of the pollution. Carpool, walk, bike, take public transport, combine trips to the store, use energy efficient appliances.

(One of my clients is a Clean Air campaign for a city, so I'm all about the environment.)

Not NEARLY enough, I fear. I try not to be wasteful, try not to litter and I always cut up the plastic rings that hold soda bottles and cans together.

I always recycle the stuff I use at home and I try to always put paper in the blue recycling cans at work. Though I'm sure they just dump everything in the same bins when they come to empty everything out.
